I am a Master of Philosophy graduate of James Cook University (JCU) in Australia, currently contributing to research activities at The Kids Research Institute Australia. Before joining JCU, I obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Rwanda and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria.
Prior to obtaining my MSc, I served as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Saki in Nigeria, where I taught undergraduate courses in statistics and applied mathematics, developed teaching materials and assessments, coordinated tutorials sessions, and mentored students on projects and study skills.
My research focus is on development and application of statistical and machine learning methods motivated by the increasing complexity and scale of health-related data. In particular, I am interested in methods for solving epidemiological, ecological, and biological challenges.
Away from teaching and research, I am driven to uplift people through mentoring and clear communication, because I believe knowledge should inspire hope and practical action. I value steady progress and continuous learning, believing that small, consistent steps compound into meaningful change.
